Muller Thurgau

I mentioned that we would be bottling Muller Thurgau as soon as we got bottles.  The bottles showed up on Tuesday and we bottled 100 cases on Thursday.  No grass under our feet.  Thanks to Keith, Kim, Darolyn, Bob, Al and somebody I forgot for all your help.  Here are pictures of RJ labeling the new wine.   If we’re in a really good mood, we may let you try some even though we’re not releasing it under Our Anniversary party.  We’ve been told, it’s our best yet and I agree, but I might be alittle biased.  As for Super Bowl Sunday, we do not have a big screen, but we do have a TV that will be on for you to keep up with the score and/or the commercials (aren’t they the best part).  And even though nothing official is planning, I betcha I can round up a few snacks.  There is never a shortage of food at Plum Hill.

Plumbing, etc.

There has been alot of activity on the plumbing in the tasting room building.  The plumbing is in for the utility room and progress has been made on the drains and the tasting room sink.  Unfortunately, there have been a few issues, but what can I expect from a house that is 50+ years old and has had several add-ons.  And there are several new and large holes in the concrete.  Everyone tells me these can be filled in without any problem, but we’ll see.  The other construction, beam, door, walls is not happening; not sure what to do about that.  I did some staining of the inside of the bar and it looks great; needs another coat.  I have also been working on financing, advertisement and things like shirts, all that seem minor but are necessary in the long run.  We also bottled our 2007 Estate Pinot Noir and 2007 Pinot Gris.  We will bottle the Barrel Select Pinot and Chardonnay this Saturday.  Pictures include the plumbing and holes.  Things are relatively back to normal, so I will be updating the BLOG more regularly.
