And I Digress

I am going to leave the history of our winery for a minute to catch you up on some of the changes that have been made to the winery.  The primary changes are the dog run (We think we will be the only winery in Willamette Valley with a dog run.) and a new concrete floor in the barrel room.  This leveled out 3/5ths of the flooring making easier to maneuver for processing and giving us much-needed covered event space.  The dog run is just in time for Canines and Uncorked on July 30.  Come and see our changes and bring your dog.

Creating A Winery for $35K, Part VI

Okay, so I left off with RJ and Rick competing for my attention and “love” if you will.  RJ was winning out, hands down.  For Valentine’s Day, he gave me not one, not two, but three dozen roses in 3 vases.  I had no room for them on my desk.  Yes, I have the cards that went with them.  But in March came the bomb shell.  We went on our first weekend trip together to Washington D.C.  And yes, he did drive one of his Porsches this time.  We stayed at the Marriott Hotel right on the rapid transit route.  Yes, I have the receipt from the hotel and tickets for the sights we visited.  I remember what I wore, navy striped pants and my low-cut white top.  We had an ice cream in the middle of the National Mall.  That evening, we went back to the hotel and had a drink in the bar.  RJ said to me, “I didn’t think I would get married again, but I could marry you.”  I have no idea what my response was to this shocking admission, but it must have been appropriate because he stuck around.  The rest of the weekend was a blur, but trust me, we did all the appropriate tourism things.  I have receipts and brochures to prove it.
