Pig and Pinot

April 27, 2010 Leave a comment

I don’t know where to begun discussing our Pig and Pinot event yesterday.  Fortunately, there have been some posts and pictures on Facebook.  Without sounding like I’m bragging, it was awesome.  All seats on the patio were full.  The food was great (thanks Paul and Dave and Paul, Jr.).  Music was good.  Weather really worked out for us.  A good time was had by all.  We are planning to make this an annual event but on Father’s Day, so we can almost count on the weather being good.

New Signs and New Product

Busy week following the wine trail.  RJ has been working on our new signs that will be at the bottom of the driveway.  There will be two; one on each side.  The sign with be a raised letter version of our logo between the two barrels.  Also, I have some new product in.  I just got some gluten-free sauces from Black Horse and some logo t-shirts.  RJ has also been mowing the vineyard and put up our flag pole for the flag raising.  We are confimed for the Pig and Pinot activities next Sunday.  The pig and trimmings will be ready at 1:00 p.m.  Music by Ron Sabin (Big Ron) also starts at 1:00 p.m.  The Color Guard will commence the Flag Raising at 2:00 p.m.

My Day Off

I thought you might wonder what I do with my one day off each week.  Each Monday is a little different, but today started with a meeting for one of our Wine Associations.  This one was Sip 47.  We have scheduled our Spring on 47 for April 24 and 25, the same weekend as our Pig Roast.  Then I went to Dollar Tree to pick up some things for our Annivesary Party next weekend.  Then went to Goodwill to see if there was anything interesting.  Actually found a few clothing items, which is unusual for me.  Then I met with RJ for lunch as a great authentic Mexican Restaurant in Forest Grove.  Got home and did 3 more loads of laundry in between working on cleaning up my craft room.  Didn’t do much cleaning, but did manage to make 6 Valentine Post-It Notes packages to sell at tasting room.  Really cute.  Ended the day with some ironing and decorating the house for Valentine’s Day.  Whew!  I need a nap.
