I found some great pictures on my camera so I thought I would share them with you.   The first one is the food spread we had for Our 1st Anniversary Date Night.

Then I have to show you my cats.  My cats love pipe cleaners.  Because I’m a crafter, I tend to have some around.  This is what I woke up to one morning.

That is Sinatra; not sure she was the culprit, but she has a guilty look on her face.

My Day Off

I thought you might wonder what I do with my one day off each week.  Each Monday is a little different, but today started with a meeting for one of our Wine Associations.  This one was Sip 47.  We have scheduled our Spring on 47 for April 24 and 25, the same weekend as our Pig Roast.  Then I went to Dollar Tree to pick up some things for our Annivesary Party next weekend.  Then went to Goodwill to see if there was anything interesting.  Actually found a few clothing items, which is unusual for me.  Then I met with RJ for lunch as a great authentic Mexican Restaurant in Forest Grove.  Got home and did 3 more loads of laundry in between working on cleaning up my craft room.  Didn’t do much cleaning, but did manage to make 6 Valentine Post-It Notes packages to sell at tasting room.  Really cute.  Ended the day with some ironing and decorating the house for Valentine’s Day.  Whew!  I need a nap.

Muller Thurgau

I mentioned that we would be bottling Muller Thurgau as soon as we got bottles.  The bottles showed up on Tuesday and we bottled 100 cases on Thursday.  No grass under our feet.  Thanks to Keith, Kim, Darolyn, Bob, Al and somebody I forgot for all your help.  Here are pictures of RJ labeling the new wine.   If we’re in a really good mood, we may let you try some even though we’re not releasing it under Our Anniversary party.  We’ve been told, it’s our best yet and I agree, but I might be alittle biased.  As for Super Bowl Sunday, we do not have a big screen, but we do have a TV that will be on for you to keep up with the score and/or the commercials (aren’t they the best part).  And even though nothing official is planning, I betcha I can round up a few snacks.  There is never a shortage of food at Plum Hill.

New Equipment

I’m sure in the past I have mentioned that 2010 will be the year to acquire the equipment to start processing wine on our site.  We have begun to do that.  Last year we acquired a filter and pump.  This WEEK, we received our barrel racks (didn’t think we needed racks, but what do I know) and a Residual Sugar (RS) tester.  This tester  is primarily for the Muller Thurgau but will also be used for dessert wines and port at some time.  RJ is thrilled with his new toys.
